Definition of a comedy drama - "a sitcom that's not very funny, so its genre is changed to avoid further embarrassment."
Not a lot of good will around for this series but I will reserve judgements until I've seen it, which by the look of the trailers will be never. Unlike Candy Cabs I will make this decision without the help of a committee.
Your second sentence seems to contradict your first sentence!
I'm not usually one to judge a programme before I've seen it. I mean, usually, I'm Captain Fair. But this really does look f**king awful. Still, good luck to them. And that.
Can some one please tell me who the actor is that told Paul Nicholls character they were at the funeral?
Thanks in advance.
Can't watch anymore.
It's very ITV1.
Which one is Jo Joyner? The name rings a bell.
This obviously is not a sitcom but a comedy drama. It seems a typical enjoyable BBC example of this genre. A mix of realism and ridiculous situations.
The storyline kept my interest, but God it was bad in places.
Ermmm...I want to give it the benefit of the doubt but at times it made it quite difficult for itself as far as I was concerned.
Would agree with Chip about it being 'ITV-ish' (almost a nod towards *whispers* Benidorm) and with Aaron that there is a reasonable story in there. Think though that if some of the extraneous stuff were to be trimmed right out then it would be better. The women all playing scenes en masse was a bit shouty and chaotic and became irritating.
I'll give it another go as I've seen a lot worse, but sadly it hasn't lived up to all the hype that the Beeb has been pumping out thus far.
Also apropos of nothing, the business to be in these days is helicopter filming. It seems to be used in every bleeding show on the telly regardless of genre.
Oh dear BBC.
Should I bother watching? Anything watchable?
Well Dennis Pennis is in it
