Yes! Very Lord Flashheart! :D

All that's missing is BOB !

I just got a video of "Kevin Turvey Investigates..." the the mail (or Mayall :D).

Quite a different character - not the rampant, ruthless a sexually magnetic Lord Flashheart/Alan B'Stard/Adonis Cnut character but not the pretentious, pathetic Richard Dangerous/Rik/Dreamytime Escorts/Richie/ Richard Richard/Twat character either.

Kevin has a delightfully funny lack of self-awareness or pretension. With Rik/Richie/Richard there was a sense of vulnerability, a sense that he knew that he wasn't so great but talked big to himself and those around him. Kevin, on the other hand, is a rubbish journalist but is completely unaware of this and of others' opinions of him and thinks he's great - and watching him ramble earnestly and naively is hysterical.

Kevin Turvey was the first character I ever saw Mayall play.

I heard that Riks filming a new series with Adrian Edmondson called "The Old Ones" which is presumably a follow up from "The Young Ones" ...

I think that has been a name posited by fans for a new sitcom concept that the guys mentioned about setting their familiar characterisations, with the accompanying violent humour, in a retirement home.

There is not even any very solid information indicating that this series will happen at this point - the guys just say that they have an idea for a sitcom.

I hope it happens, though!

Good to see he's advertising a decent beer!
