That is of course true, however as I have a certain emotional involvement in the subject I felt that it was correct to raise the possibility that the poster might be the real thing, and that furthermore perceived cu*tish behaviour in the case of an Asperger's sufferer, is not always motivated by the desire to be just so.

And a noble sentiment it was.
I think it's worth noting 2 things
1 The BCG crew were nothing but sympathetic and interested in the subject of Aspergers. No mickey taking it was nice to see we're actually quite a nice bunch
