Hello all.
Not posted much in Critique lately. If this works, would anyone like to film/animate? I'm sure there will be some topical opportunities for the like. Anyway, whatever feedback is always welcome.
SCENE 1: INT - COMMUNITY CENTRE
RESIDENTS ARE SEATED ROUND A LONG TRESTLE TABLE. THE CHAIRMAN OF A RESIDENTS' MEETING IS STANDING UP COUNTING HANDS-UP FROM ALL THOSE SEATED, BAR ONE - TREVOR AT THE END - WHO LOOKS ANNOYED WHILE KEEPING HIS HAND DOWN.
CHAIRMAN:
And all those against?
ONLY TREVOR RAISES HIS HAND.
CHAIRMAN:
You're outvoted Trevor. So we will be holding a street party to celebrate the royal wedding of William and Kate!
MUCH CHEERING FROM EVERYONE ELSE WHILE TREVOR SHAKES HIS HEAD IN BEWILDERMENT.
SCENE 2: EXT - THE STREET
THE SAME LONG TRESTLE TABLE IS SET UP, WITH THE SAME PEOPLE SEATED AROUND, THOUGH THEY APPEAR TO BE LEANING TO THE LEFT. THE CHAIRMAN ARRIVES WITH A TRAYFUL OF DRINKS AT THE LEFT-END OF THE TABLE AS WE LOOK. HE PLACES THE DRINKS ONE BY ONE ON THE TABLE. OUR P.O.V SWITCHES TO REVEAL THE TABLE IS ON A STEEP HILL. THE DRINKS SLIDE DOWN THE TABLE PAST CONFUSED COMMITTEE MEMBERS AND END UP SPLASHING ONTO TREVOR, SEATED AT THE BOTTOM END. A PILE OF GLASSES, PLATES AND FOOD IS ALL OVER HIM. HE IS STILL SHAKING HIS HEAD.
END.
