Funny Black British Comedians? Page 2

If you call Asians black then I think Meera Syall and Sanjev whatisname can be very funny.

I'm afraid Desmonds always left me cold although I have a black friend who used to laugh hysterically about it. I just couldn't see it myself.

But I used to like Lenny Henry - until he became a bit too right on!

I personally wouldn't call Asians black.

Let's have a different thread for Asian comedy!

And then one for blondes!

And maybe one for tall people.

What about one for "Funny People"?

Don't be ridiculous!

If you're going to be that picky, then Indians and Asians are actually grey, and 'black' people are actually brown. :P

Anyway.

Desmond's... Yeah. Some good stuff, but a lot of it fell a bit flat for me too. Still, fair play to Trix. Great show for what it was.

Junior Simpson (as mentioned) can be pretty good. Reginald D Hunter is very, VERY funny... He's American, although based here, so not sure if he counts?

For British though, can't beat Rudolf Walker. Some brilliant performances over the years.

(And currently rather enjoying Lenny Henry in Three of a Kind on DVD.)

There are some really good black and asian comedians on the circuit but they're not famous yet. The man's keeping them down but i'm white so its good news for me Laughing out loud

Go whitey! \o/

If we're going beyond black, Omid Djalili, he's great.

What if you are a black, asian, white, chineses, cuban jewish, islamic muslim christian? Can we do a thread on that???????????

I only ask coz i think i have at some point in my life, I have had a bit of the above in me?

cuban?

You bored of Cha now?

I'm part Native American.

How.

HOW!
Never! Never bored of my Che Che. No I am just a pondering while I be pissed.

If we're going beyond black, Omid Djalili, he's great.

I've seen him perform a few times and he was funny on all of them but i've been told that when he has longer gigs he isn't so good, there is a growing number of asian stand-ups now, not big names just yet but there is some i have seen and performed on the same night as that were very good.

Sorry - I didn't know you wanted to compartmentalise comedy that much.
