The Crooners Page 4

I only know him singing Dizzy.

Heh. He did a good cover of Born Free, and lots of similar stuff on a very croony album (although I think Dizzy was on it too).

Look at his lovely little face.

We're Gonna Change The World.

Just had a watch, pure gold, thanks and what a fine looking man too :)

I'm not a fan of this music but I think Charlie Brooker hit the nail on the head when he talked about how it is portrayed by shows like X-Factor. It really annoys me when you see them with their shirt unbuttoned, swishing their drink about looking slightly pished.

Yehhhh baby! Rhythm of Life also. Top banana.

B B B Bing

Serge Gainsbourg had his moments.

For the females, Id choose Alison Moyet as a modern day crooner, and KD Laing

Sammy Davis Jr - Rhythm Of Life.

Val Doonican derves a mention. The cardiganned crooner.

I don't think anymore has mentioned Perry Como yet either.

I had a Roger Whittaker tape when I was a boy. His version of Puff The Magic Dragon rocked. Plus he could whistle. He was like my Starter Crooner.
