Someone I spoke to recently ranted and raved about Debussy's Etude Pour les Arpèges Composés but while it's technically great it's left me a bit cold. Does anyone have any Debussy recommendations?

Wear a jumper as well as a hat.
Ah, is that where I've been going wrong? Someone at one of the drinks could've mentioned. Cheers Marcmeister, feel better equipped to listen to music now
A beret for Debussy. A nice flat cap for Elgar... or Dvorak if you are feeling a little bit cheekily, musically punny!
I went to a concert last week at Birmingham Town Hall.
The Orchestra of The Swan (based in Stratford on Avon).
Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 3 and the Pastoral Symphony. And a bit of Delius.
The soloist was fabulous ! A 19yo called Benjamin Grosvenor
Surely to be one of the great pianists of this century if not all time !
When he came out I thought, 'Beethoven? A little kid like you?'
Boy oh boy, was I wrong. A flawless performance.
