I think their view was that Room 101 would take too long to do, while Call My Bluff was a shorter format.

Why not just cut one of the items for Room 101?

Instead of four choices for Room 101 just have three.

Thanks. BUT, too much David Tennant! Sick of the chap.

Too much David Tennant? Wasn't he only on one thing?

Do you perhaps mean David Walliams. Who was, strangely enough, on every show?

Some information has come out about which shows will feature in the TV broadcasts.

Episode 1 - Would I Lie to You? and Just a Minute.
Episode 2 - Blankety Blank, The Generation Game and Through the Keyhole.
Episode 3 - Mock the Week and Celebrity Juice.

It's not yet know what shows will appear on the other two episodes.

Well I just caught the first highlight show and feel like I've been cheated, they've allowed 10 minutes for each show by the looks of things. It's especially gutting since I had no idea it was going on until it came on after Being Human tonight.

With any luck they'll release it all on DVD uncut with all of the footage intact rather than just the edited versions. I know I'd pay the money gladly to be able to see this.

It was a bit disappointing.

I'd have loved to see half hours of each show. Showing five minutes of most of them is taking the piss a bit.

Agreed.

Somehow they've got to fit 24 hours into less than 150 minutes. It means for some brutal edits (highlighted by Jon Richardson on 8 Out Of 10 Cats saying they'd been talking about famous Davids for 20 minutes, when we'd only seen about 2 minutes).

It's interesting from a production study point of view how they've spliced it all together, even cutting bits out of the rounds we did get to see, but why the highlights programmes couldn't have been an hour long I don't know.

A DVD would be good - particularly as some of the funniest bits were between rounds. Blankety Blank was from start to finish a rather amusing mess (O'Grady forgetting the rules etc), it'll be interesting to see what they show from that one.

Ditto the above. Mark and I worked out last weekend just how much cutting they'd have to do, but even then it was still really disappointing just what little we were shown. Whoever only gave them 5 x 30min needs their head checked! DVD definitely the way to go with this - think of the funds they could raise!

They really went to town with the canned laughter on the opening monologue for 8 Out Of 10 Cats, didn't they? I remember that going down not so well on the day...
