CHANNEL 4 SEMINARS Page 2
Yup - it was good to meet you Mr Pie - and a lovely dress it was too!
The entertainment and comedy comissioner of Channel 4 is Andrew Newman, the peep show producer was Phil Clarke from Objective. It was informative, funny and defo worth watching if released.
Another thing they encouraged was getting out there and making comedy yourself - releasing on youtube or whatever. I think channel 4 have a sketch show in prodcution from chaps sourced from youtube.
I think it's very true. I started filming/ animating about a year ago and quit the day job two months ago to become a full time comedy writer/ producer. And so far so good!

Good for you Nick. I hope things continue to go well...
YouTube etc. eh? It does make me wonder how on earth anything got made before this 'new' idea of social networking...
YouTube's not social networking.
If anyone wants detail on the Monday conference, reply in PM or email me. Sorry to miss you ShoePie but we sent SecretSlag, the third and shyest member to the Tuesday one. He was apparently last seen jumping off London Bridge later that evening because they'd spelled his name wrong on the guest list.

How would you define it? Isn't it a form of social networking?
Either way... how on earth did anything get made before?
YouTube is considered as 'user-generated content'. Social networking is stuff like Facebook, Bebo, MySpace etc, which exist purely to connect (i.e. network) with 'friends', reflect one's personality, and so on.
Oh... more 'wank speak' then...
Bah!
