Have you stopped taking submissions for these? The last few seem to have been run from nowhere.

Dan

That's a lot of rejections.

More than Laughing Stock.

Dan

Swerytd <<Have you stopped taking submissions for these? The last few seem to have been run from nowhere. Dan>>

Griff <<Plus when are you going to send out the feedback from the 2010 rejections? >>

Swerytd <<More than Laughing Stock. Dan>>

You wait several days for a reply, then they all come at once ... :D

@Dan We're probably going to have another submission window later this year or early this year -yes, "probably" but I've been up front about this before and we're all part-timers. We were given a bit of funding to do an Arts Festival last July. And then a tour these last few months to go around the libraries with three of the sitcoms we've done before and also develop our Q&A session which has taken off in a very interesting way.

@Griff I fully admit my guilt on this, m'lud Griff. We have given back feedback to about half the entries and I do still have the notes on all the sitcoms but with everything else this has been put on a "to do" list. I'm playing the sob card here, but I did have a hard disk failure (or rather my computer did, not me ...) and I'm waiting on a nice computer man to sort out the clump that has been extracted which include the scripts and the emails I had neatly prepared and saved to send out. In the end I may be able to get all the feedback out by Christmas ... Sorry if this sounds like the First World War ... but you haven't seen the data from my former computer...

And of course you're both welcome to come along on Saturday - it should be fun!

Hi Alice

Don't worry about the feedback for mine I'm only being a nuisance.

Can't make it on Saturday but good luck with the event!

Nuisance, you ain't ... I now have an excuse for pushing this thread to the top of the list ... ;) lol

Wave Come along for sitcoms, Q&A and a raffle with prizes including a year's subscription to Whatsonstage.com Theatre Club :D and a 1kg Lindt Golden Bunny (yummy!). We also have delicious free refreshments courtesy of Tesco, Shloer's scrumptious beverages and, most of all, our actors in sitcoms by emerging writers with lots of laughs! :( Why all London? all us Northerners need cheering up!

I would love Show followed by sarnies and vino! FREE!

Please inform me of your Manchester dates, I can guarantee large crowds no need for you to advertise everywhere. Wave

We'd do a tour of the whole country if someone (or some firm) gave us the funding! You do have the Manchester Sitcom Trials and the BBC's own rehearsed readings in Salford, I believe, so you're not doing too badly ... Good luck with your writing!
