Is that supposed to be Hugh Laurie giving Obama the evil eye?

And what does the unicorn's horn represent? Eh?

Venus of Brassempouy. I'm just amazed that someone made this 4.5cm piece 25,000 years ago.

I was fortunate enough to see 10 drawings by Da Vinci in Birmingham this weekend.

It cheered me up after I wasn't able to get tickets to the recent exhibit in London, and it was for free.

It did piss me off to see on each drawing an insignia to prove it belonged to the Queen. She is very kindly 'allowing' us to view them from her personal collection, but I object to her defacing art works with her stamp.

Depends if it's first or second class.

Call that squinting haddock a Venus?! God people in the Late Mesolithic had such low standards. What is wrong with these stone age people etc etc

:D Very good Timbo.

Personally, I love a bit of abstract expressionism. And you can't beat a bit of Rothko -

I also like Anish Kapoor and Henry Moore when it comes to the old scuplting -

*sings Anish Kapoor, Henry Moore over and over again in the style of Harry Hill*

Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud

If I weren't so lazy I'd find some photos of classic works of art and pick a fight with RC by telling him that his favourites are fat, ugly and generally unattractive.

In the 70's me and a mate would walk into town and go to our favourite bookshop. We would always look in the sci-fi section where Foss would feature on a lot of the book covers. I just love his style which has been copied, but not bettered.

Pollock; Ug; Van Gogh; Unknown; Hodgkin; Unknown; Van Gogh.

Do hope you're pronouncing it 'Goch' as in 'loch' and not 'Goff' which I am assured by Dutch people is wrong. *returns to 'Things that piss you off'.*

Mesolithic

Palaeolithic, I think.

How about this one, it looks very twentieth century to me, but is in fact about 6,000 years old.
