Wait.. what?

It was horrendous, something even Frankie Boyle would've baulked at.

And I thought you were such a nice boy!

Tony didn't say anything that bad. I was having banter with him, and he took me to be too serious. :)

Uh oh, was it brother based?

Yah!

It's just been pointed out to me that T.Rex's 'Metal Guru' is NOT, as I thought 'Minnie the Moo'.

My sister used to sing "Once upon a time there was a tab end"

Although that would make a bit more sense than the real title. Good old Marc, lovely looking boy, beautiful voice, but away with the fairies.

During a recent discussion about the dimensions of Noah's Ark, I insisted that it was impossible to fit 2 of every animal in it because 'once you put in a couple of blue whales there'd be no room for anything else'

Mr Baby pointed out that whales can swim. D'oh!

Another terrible mishear I had was for Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin.

I thought Plant was singing 'Only sleep with the pinching on
I hung the door with these arresting shout'.

The actual lyrics are:

'On we sweep with threshing oar, our only goal is the western shore'.

I still maintain that it sounds more like what I thought it was.

Rolling eyes I used to think UB40's 'Ivory Madonna' was 'I'm a Prima Donna', still
think it fits better!

Also, the' U2' song 'Welcome to Vertigo' was 'Welcome to Birmingham', honestly!

I used to think Panic! by The Smiths had the line 'Panic on the streets of London, panic on the streets of London Town'.

Hilarious.

Re the main thrust of the thread:

I was discussing this very thing with Mrs B the other day and she told me a great one which made me laugh a lot.

When she was young and indeed quite a way into her adulthood she believed that Sly and the Family Stone were singing...

"It's a family of bears"
