Greetings from Norfolk from someone who's been writing daft stuff for quite a while, with mixed success, and still hopes, like many others no doubt, that some day an idea will take shape and hit the heights.
I'm currently busy with a spoof newspaper, The Bramfieldian, I first conceived over 40 years ago while still at school. I've still got the first 5 typewritten editions, albeit barely being held together by yellowing sticky tape, but I decided it was high time I published it on thinternet, and with the help of Wordpress, hey presto

I have also written plays and pantos for the amateur stage, and together with my good friend Jim Blythe we are currently seeking a publisher for 'Jack The Ripper - The Panto', which, not surprisingly with that title, has had a couple of sell out runs in Norwich.
My only broadcasting success was back in the mid-nineties when I was out of work for a year or two and had some success writing gags for The News Huddlines. I always marvelled at the BBC paperwork required for each successful joke.
As a programmer I did create a jokes database application a few years back, but people are not really interested in paying for their humour so it wasn't a great success. However, as a mobile app ... well, maybe.
Anyway, great to be here and looking forward to pitching in with my five pennyworth on the forums.
Graham
