I love Death Note.

I've got the boxset of that, but I've yet to get round to watching it. I'll get round to it soon enough.

I fancy trying some Anime or Manga and was wondering if there are any obvious classics to start with?

Cowboy Bebop.

Try some Miyazaki: Spirited Away, Princess Monoake, Kiki's Delivery Service, Porco Rosso, Laputa - all great.

Akira, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ghost in the Shell and Astro Boy are normally considered to be the most important and influential anime and manga, so they would be good recommendations.

Actually since it is chip who is asking, try Legend of the Overfiend.

Watch Grave of the Fire Flies. Amazing film.

Yes, because there is nothing like tentacle rape to get you through the day.

Cheers everyone, I'll check some of these out.
