Tomato Festival

EXT. SPAIN - TOMATO FESTIVAL - DAY

Miguel and Danny are gleefully throwing tomatoes at one another, having the time of their lives. Miguel takes a large hamper of tomatoes and tips them over Danny's head; they laugh and splash the tomatoes in the air like children in the sea.

MIGUEL
(IN SPANISH - ENGLISH SUBTITLES ) It's a good job you made sure there's enough left in reserve.

Danny laughs and nods but then his face slowly drops

DANNY
But I thought you were...

Danny quickly turns to the older gent next to him who is jumping up and down on the tomatoes.

DANNY
Did you remember to keep tomatoes in reserve?

The old man's laughs then his face drops; he quickly turns to the person next to him and talks in to their ear; their face also drops. Fade out as the message is gradually passed through the crowd with everyone coming to a halt.

CUT TO:

Everyone madly sweeping tomato juice into jars, tins, hats and anything they can get their hands on.

Hmm, it's not doing it for me.

How about ending with something like;

CUT TO:

Tourists walking through the tomato covered square, pointing excitedly. A sign reads "Traditional Sun Dried Tomatoes €20"

?

Forgive me if I'm missing something, but why are they needing to keep tomatoes "in reserve"?

I meant "In reserve" to mean the tomatoes that weren't surplus i.e. the ones for eating and selling. Probably needs rewording. Thanks Nil and Badge.
