Anyone seen this yet? Watched Ep 1 with William H Macy and thought it was pretty good. They stuck to the original pilot closely (Paul Abbott is Exec. Producer) but they said next episodes will be different to UK series 1. And I think the UK version is too much like a soap now.

Streamed it online last week (naughty me!) but they say More 4 will be showing it in the Spring.
I've watched the 1st episode a couple times now. It's pretty good. I really like Macy as the father. The part is a real departure for him.
Everyone is more attractive and there's black people... some of the dialogue was clunky as they changed very little of the original script.
Have seen the original and quite like this one. Not a sitcom that is laden with jokes - but humourous observations in a slice of life.
William H. Macy is a very fine actor and Emmy Rossum is a very bright young talent (And gorgeous, to boot!).
I think I'll make a habit of watching this one.
