Revue of 2010 - #5: LHC

Last one I promise. In November the Large Hadron Collider... well, see what you think.

(TO THE TUNE OF ESCAPE (THE PINA COLADA SONG) by RUPERT HOLMES)

Science has always confused me, I'm on happier ground
When I don't understand stuff, not to go poking 'round
But these mad boffins scare me, with their meddling ways
And the word from my mate is, we could be in our last days

The Large Hadron Collider has had a big bang event
Now those crazy white coats are working out what it meant
They might like making lovely particles, by firing lead into lead
But with this bloody collider, we could all end up dead

Now I'm no physics expert, but I hear there's a chance
The Large Hadron Collider, could destroy half of France
Though it isn't all good news, 'cos it might kill us as well
Unless we stop those big bangers from spinning us all to hell

The Large Hadron Collider could bring us all to our knees
So my mate down the pub says, and he's got GCSEs
You cannot change the laws of physics Jim, that's what I learnt from Star Trek
And the Hadron Collider is a dangerous shit wreck

The Large Hadron Collider should be totally scrapped
Who wants scientific progress? Scientists always talk crap
If they want to spin their particles, they can all spin on this [GIVES THE FINGER]
The Large Hadron Collider? Must be taking the piss.
