Had a quick look Winterlight and it is very narrative.

I would suggest that you do it as a book or a radio "diary" type thing.

It is all words and without a complete rewrite I don't think it would work for TV or visually.

That is of course just MY opinion for what it's worth. (Probably not a lot)

Yeah it is all very narrative. It was inspired mostly by Stewart Lee; I don't know if you've seen any of his stand up shows, but the majority of the material is him telling one long and fairly ludicrous story. That's what I've tried to emulate, especially with the 'Grey Pubic Hair' one. Stewart Lee is a comedy genius though and I am merely an apprentice at the moment, so I need to hone my skills.

I like the idea of radio as a good area for narrative comedy. I could never in a million years imagine getting up on a stage and performing to an audience! The nerves would get the better of me, but the safety of a radio studio is quite appealing.....

You developing Trisha the Opera?

Ha! God no! I saw about 5 minutes of Jerry Springer The Opera when it was on BBC and I was bored to death, but then I can't stand musicals anyway!

I thought the boring to death didn't occur until Act 2 when Springer interviews the necrophiliac.

I just turned it off quickly and felt a little sad that the wit I remembered from Fist of Fun seemed to have left Stewart Lee. Thankfully, I went to see him do some stand up later on that year and realised that his humour had matured brilliantly. I just hope that one of the sitcoms he's currently working on does get commissioned.

I would have watched it but I lived in Carlisle at the time and the whole place flooded that evening.

It'll never get shown again I reckon.
