The Break-In

A hot midnight quickie starring myself and Stuart Laws (Chopz)...

I didn't get this. Is it something to do with cats?

It's really one of those you either get or don't and I can't be held accountable for your brain, Ben.

Didn't work for me, gents. Feels like a punchline with no setup.

There's a bit of an 'in-jokey' vibe about it too, great if you're one of the 3 people involved, not so great if you're an outsider.

It's a nice idea and well shot but it didn't have enough punch to it if I'm honest. Good but not brilliant.

Thanks for the feedback, gents.

It was silly and fun. But you could have spent the time making a better sketch. Maybe consider this idea for a longer piece?

Actually we shot four sketches that day - this one was just a trifle. More to come.

That's good to know. Look forward to the rest. :)

It's a definite in-joke. No doubt.

I disagree.

I liked it, it was odd and silly. If anything, I would have built up more; had them casing the joint for days, looking at building plans, making notes of her daily routine, and so on; I think it would make the pay off stupidity all the sweeter.

That might have worked. Or it could have ended up making the preamble unbearably long. I try and remember when I'm making YouTube videos that the average viewer will switch off after about 10 seconds if nothing interesting happens. Hopefully the fact that it's a break-in with tension music will keep people watching to the 30 second punch. Anything beyond that is a bit of a gamble.

She could have tossed them a bone at the end?
