Knowing Me Knowing You

Couldn't see a thread for it.
And wasn't sure if I put this in the correct forum.

But both the Radio & TV Shows are still among my favourites.

It was a truly great show. They're all peerless episodes but I particularly like the one in Paris with the medical-themed fashion range and the sacking of Glen Ponder.

Sports Casual

I sometimes wonder what I'm Alan Partridge would have been like if Patrick Marber had carried on and co-written and co-starred in that as well. Because he was a major part of KMKYWAP, both on and off screen.

I always found him to be a bit of a weak link, performance-wise. Possibly why he gave it up and concentrated on the writing.

I find him quite sinister!

Marber's great in Knowing Me, Knowing You. I particularly liked his hate-filled food critic and his impotent film star who still knows how to fix a photocopier.

They were good, yeah. I think it was his frozen face that always bugged me, though it was put to good use in The Day Today.

Rebecca Front was brilliant in this.

Too many examples to pick one out.

I'd plump for the American singer who gets his name wrong. Great musical medley in that episode too.

I loved that Birk Martin De Clunes.

I didn't know he was French

The Radio shows were just as good as the TV offering. If you've never heard them but are a fan, get yourself copies of the radio show.

PS - Conrad Knight socks!

A Partridge Over Britain stands out.

Didn't Front play a shiny New Labour style MP in that? Ironic that fifteen or so years later she'd play a clapped out New Labour MP in another Ianucci show. David Schneider was great in that as the ineffective Tory MP with anger management issues.

She certainly did. Charlotte Fraser (Rampling.)

The whole scene had laugh out loud moments, probably none more so than "you are a bloody shit! A bloody, buggering, shitting, buggerhead!"
