:D He did something with his hands that looked similar to what Tommy Cooper did when he said "just like that" which always made me laugh.

He had a minor hit with "You Need Hands", which finished with summat like "............the hands that you give to us" which was a sort of invitation for the audience to applaud. Oh dear.

But to counteract that, Bernard Bresslaw did a wonderful spoof with "You Need Feet" in the voice of his Army Game character Popeye' Popplewell, using the same tune.

"You need feet to keep your socks up,
And stop your legs from fraying at the ends.
You need feet to walk to Sc**thorpe,
Or to dance the 'Hoochy-Coo'.

I'll 'ave 'alf.
Blimey, that takes me back. What a mad series that was.

My wife and I have slipped into a catchphrase of our own, taken from Jack Dee's "Bad Move" and it's Gareth's.

Whenever we're in separate rooms and she asks me something (especially if the kettle or microwave is on) and I can't make out what she wants, I shout "Yer What!?"

We do laugh. :D

I use many Royle Family quotes/catchphrases.

If 'she' gives an opinion I often retort 'fair point, well made Bar-bearer'
