I didn't get it.

Much as it pains me to agree with the fop Ben, I think his idea for a spoof ad would make this work better.

I think his idea for a spoof ad would make this work better.

A spoof ad would indeed work better for some audiences, just as 'Two Pints of Lager' works better than 'Yes, Minister' for some audiences.

However, if the author can write quality sketches to please quality audiences, why would he want to serve up his ideas in a trough?

The Sketch:0)

My sketch's first idea came from walking along the A4/M4 at night and seeing these huge posters of wet lipped pretty boys selling their new albums. Every track had the cheesy cliche of shag tracks - on that cold evening they irritated me... then made me laugh.

Second chunk of the idea was from my own sexual experiences. Trying to match my music to the evenings events, pre planning wine, lighting, music... and the discovery that Barry White is SO not right!! :0)))

3rd... Susan Boyle is popular at the mo and the idea of her finally being seduced by a guy attracted to her fame is funny. Then the shag tracks she'd write based on the reality of female sexual encounters was funny - to me.

Yes - having to explain the concept is an indication that the joke.... isn't obvious.. I still like the original, and I like Veronica's idea and I'd love to see it performed. I will laugh at either version:0)

(Have you seen my Literally sketch?)

This site is making me giggle:0)
