Merry humbug

HI All. Just to let you know that this is almost full now, but there are one or two places left.

I was going to suggest the hacks who penned Episodes, but they already know how not to write a sitcom...

I recall you saying that a book was coming out soon entitled 'How NOT to write sitcom'. Is this still happening?

Def.

And the cover is going to be better than that shown in the link. I kicked up a storm. Yes it is out in May...or when I correct the proofs, which are sitting in a scary pile.

And yes I agree about the hacks of Episodes. I am biting my tongue on that one.

Aw, I quite like that cover!

SAme cover - just modified so you can READ IT.

No thanks. I already have loads of examples of how not to write a sitcom in the "My Documents" secion of my computer.

Dear All.
Next workshop is SATURDAY MARCH 26th.

Please drop me a line if interested. Four places left.

And yes, we WILL slag off Episodes and Friday Night Dinner.

Are you still writing, Marc?

Why don't we have our own rules and tips for how NOT to write a sitcom?

I'll start...

- Avoid stereotypical characters i.e. welsh people with sheep, 'thick welsh people', gay welsh people
- No laughter track???
- No famous actors (can take away I find. I'm not expert though!)

Ooops sorry Griff I didn't mean to upset you on the internet. Are you OK? Hope the careers going well! Da bo ti!

I am writing.
Sitcom book is complete and out in a month.
Am also writing a YA Period novel - horror and suspense based. First draft is complete and I am reading it through now and being just as critical as I am in the crits (very). It's a passion and a hobby right now...

Sitcom course pretty much full now. Any last orders drop me a line....
