Well I'm glad that she did it, but today someone from that primary who now goes to the same sixth form as me, asked why I left, and I very quickly changed the subject.

The similarities between the government elected and the one in place are few. Besides Labour didn't campaign on the back of "We're going to facilitate crime by doing such and such."

Cause and effect - the Police are there to do OUR bidding. If we want a society where we tie their hands behind their backs and give more legal powers to the muggers than to the police then they will have to cope with it and be blamed once again. Forget the police it is OUR responsibility to treat other people the way we treat ourselves and not to blame the police for not keeping them behind bars.
The whole point of my argument is that the lines are becoming blurred and if an old woman gets mugged in the street in broad daylight it should be ALL of our problems not just the police.

No, not directly, but it's inherent with their principles. And, more to the point, their policies on policing, human rights and the like - which were in manifestos.
In any case, I made no specific mention of the present Government. It's not in the past 12 months that the country's suddenly collapsed.
