He certainly looks the sort.

A thought.

What do you call the male equivalent of feminist?

Maleinist?

And would it involve setting fire to my grundies?

Can a man not be a feminist?

Charlize Theron and Naomi Watts looking horrified in the audience was a red herring: as the dresses they were suddenly wearing immediately gave away, they were a part of the pre-recorded segment, part of the joke, their reaction shots having been taken from other awards shows at moments when they happened to look cheesed.

Of course there's more in the article than that, and it's not pro-MacFarlen, but it just shows how staged all this is. There's no point in getting upset.

There's no point in getting upset.

But that's what we do!

Can a man not be a feminist?

Definitely. All a feminist is is a person who advocates equal rights for women. I imagine almost anyone you know is a feminist.

People have just added a load of fake man-hating baggage on to the word that doesn't exist.

But that's what we do!

Quite.

Definitely.

I think, for some, it does.

Laughing out loud

I believe we're actually in a phase of post-feminism now. Feminism as a concept doesn't really have much place in modern society as women got the rights they were after.

I think, for some, it does.

I'm sure it does for the odd few mentals. But the meaning of the word does not change.

What rights were they after?

What rights were they after?

What haven't they got? In what way are they oppressed? That's not sarcasm, I'm curious as to what you think women don't have that men do.

Quote: zooo @ February 25 2013, 10:47 PM GMT

What rights were they after?

The vote, rights to become an MP and to sigh at kittens.

The vote, rights to become an MP and to sigh at kittens.

To be fair, I do that last one.
