Yes, apostrophe. It's possessive - e.g. the girl's hat, the man's ferret. So everyone's life.

Serious Question

Has anyone got any contacts 'in the trade' as it were . . .

I'm after tickets for Status Quo's reunion tour next year, the Wolverhampton Civic Hall one.

Ideally 4 x seating but one will be ok.

I'm registering with all the online agencies and I'll turn up at the box office but was just wondering . . . .

Ta for reading.

Oldrocker.

Can anyone tell me if the Labrinth song 'Beneath Your Beautiful' is deliberately wrong grammatically?

I can't tell if the singer is saying 'you are beautiful' or if they want to see something 'beneath their beautiful tonight'. Can someone own 'tonight' and in any case, how could you look underneath it?

I've not listened to the song but from the lyrics I can't make it out either way and surely there are some missing commas anyway.

Would you let me see beneath your beautiful
Would you let me see beneath your perfect
Take it off now girl, take it off now girl
I wanna see inside
Would you let me see beneath your beautiful tonight

If this has been released without the apostrophe as a half-joke then OK but if it has got through because no-one has spotted the error I shall be very angry indeed! Angry

It's f**king nonsense.

Are "beautiful" and "perfect" the trade names of Bras. If so it makes some sense.

So would you be if some robot was rolling around on your face. I like Mars' soul patch.
