At the Only Fools and Horses convention I went to last week, they had a mockup of the Trotter's front room and a Del Boy, Uncle Albert and Rodney lookalike who you could have your photo taken with. I didn't indulge in this, but I went and had a look. All I can say is that the Rodney lookalike was the most terrifying thing I had ever seen. It was like some strange gangly Ukrainian in a camouflage jacket. Scary.

The convention itself wasn't really for me. I think the main thing at these is meeting the actors. I have no interest in having some awkward conversation with Cassandra, so spent a couple of minutes looking at the handful of props and costumes from the series before sodding off. I think exhibitions are more for me. Yep.

I like conventions, but I suspect Steve Sunshine's one was better.

I went to a Sci-fi one once where one of the original actors to play Davros was appearing. I don't think I saw a single person go and get an autograph from him. It was quite tragic.

Managed to get it set up and though the one film I wanted to see isn't on there, I've got to say it's pretty good and miles more convenient than lovefilm which I had just cancelled.

Also discovered only now that I can also watch BBC iPlayer through the Wii and am so excited (it doesn't take much)...just watched the very first episode of The Thick Of It as missed all of the first, second, third and most of the fourth...most excellent.
