Ooooh Matron.
Hope it doesn't widen my screen. Its sure wide enough.
Anyhoo Chappers, they look like your future pall bearers.
Maybe some of you can enlighten me. In my recent sojourn in Devon, my wee republican heart was quite horrified to see so much Jubilee tat on sale (including a teaset at £590 in a shop in Sidmouth), not to mention the massive festoons of BNP flags - sorry, I should say Union flags - everywhere. Is this common throughout the whole of England or is Devon a particular hotbed of royal adulation?
Not just Devon. The party shop where I work is packed with Jubilee merchandise, and it's selling like wildfire. Y'know, if you could box and sell wildfire somehow.
The Union Jack isn't the one used by the BNP, they stole the England flag, with just the red cross on the white background. I've never been that fond of that one anyway, it's a bit boring.
The Union Jack is pretty and I love the fact it's plastered over everything in the shops at the moment!
I do not like the flags with the Union Jack and the Queen's face over the top which we sell.

Ha! That does sound a bit tacky. They've got loads of stuff with Union flags and corgis on in M&S. Weird.

Really? I was sure the BNP had the red, white and blue. I prefer the English flag - think it's less fussy.
It just makes me think of first aid!
The BNP probably uses all sorts of flags, but the main one associated with them is the English one I believe.

Isn't the clue in the title?
British National Party.
Hence union flag.
Are you getting confused with the English Defence League?
If the Union and George flag are being taken back great.
They never belonged to the pinheads.
nb the Union Jack is to iconic to have anything to do with it's original meaning.

Yes, cos the BNP follow logic...
Whenever I see BNP stuff on telly they are covered in the English flag. *shrug*
I don't know any personally to ask them.
