All I put in potato salad is new potatoes, mayo and chives. It's already vegetarian.

An interesting recipe for making potato salad and its vegie

Thanks. Discovered that just before. It sounds tasty, I have the day off Wednesday so might try a slightly edited version of that. Not game enough to try something new and just serve it up to people.

I favour the RUssian style one with olives, carrots, onions, peas and potato etc.

Oddly more of a Turkish thing then really Russian.

I do also like new potatoes with broad beans, shallots and mayo. Yumm.

Broad beans are underrated, but shallots are way to weedy.

They are just onions but more ladylike.

Shallots are fecking lovely.

Any form of raw onion is an abomination. They are only acceptable when cooked down to mush and mingled with other flavors.

I love raw onion.

I'm very lucky that my neighbor next door is an excellent cook and that she and her husband both hate onions. I am always assured of a tasty, onion-free meal when she rings the doorbell.

Shallots aren't weedy. They are a mans vegetable. Powerful things shallots, great with lamb

May you all burn in your own gay, lesbian and transgendered hell.

Salad is only acceptable on a greasy doner kebab and even then, only as a visual reassurance that you might actually live when you've finished eating it.

Laughing out loud

Do you ever cook a meal yourself? You've always got some woman from the neighbourhood bringing you food. Are you running some sort of protection racket where they have to pay you in food.

I cook but the next door neighbors "don't do leftovers" and the other neighbors are always inviting me over for dinner because they feel sorry for me living alone, I guess. They're all great cooks so I can't say no when the alternative is a frozen pizza.
