:( Sick and bored of it are'nt you?...

Person behind me on shopping centre escalator was on the phone bemoaning the fact that some shop didn't have 'the dress' in size 6. I was soo soo very tempted to turn round and say 'Just go and eat some buns, hen.' Size SIX. Is that healthy? Is anybody here size 6?

Was she very short? It might be a healthy size if she's under five foot

No. She was about my height - 5 foot 3

Buns are definitely the answer.

Drives me mad when shops divide up clothes sizes- I don't want a size 10-12, cos if it fits someone who's size 10 there's no way it'll fit me, and I don't want size 14-16 'cos 16 will be too big. Why the shared sizes? One size or another please shops! Feel like a right heffer now we've been discussing size 6's :)

Same with shoes now they've stopped making half sizes. I walk out of 5s but 4s are too tight.

As long as it's divisable by 6 then you're ok.

I can't conceive how a size 6 clothes would look - maybe they' ve slipped down drains before I met them

I've been having an argument with a friend for years about weight and height. I think that it should be law that whenever a magazine or paper publishes a picture of someone (especially when they're saying, for example, that a celebrity is size six) they should have to print that person's height as well, so that people don't get the impression that it's healthy to be a size six if they're nowhere near that height- I'm 5'7 so if I tried to be size six I would probably die, but friend thinks it's easier for taller people to look slim as there's more of them to distribute weight about! She's 5'2- so far all 5'7 people have agreed with me and all 5'2 people have agreed with her, so it's obviously a sensible and intelligent debate :D

I'd still say 6 is far too thin for 5'2". In my youth I was never less than size 10 and there wasn't a millimetre of extra flesh on me. Unless the numbers have changed!

Yep, was just using it as general magazine example. But think manufacturers have in last maybe half decade put the next size down on clothes to make everyone feel better. And America has a different, smaller sizing system- that's why you can get size zeros, even though that would technically be non-existent.

Thankfully I'm 5'10" so it's easy to pretend I can't see little people.

Having said that I do like to pop my little friends into my handbags ala Paris Hilton. Although Chihuahuas do look cuter in their little outfits I force them to wear.

Unlike Chloe,

That's a great dress, can I borrow? If I diet really really hard?

Good girl, here have a bone marrow biscuit.

You might fit in my new bag, It's clutch but I have no control over those hand held purses.

Some people can't help being skinny! (They are bloody annoying though.)
I used to be a size 6 to 8 but I was a bit embarrassed so I always bought size 10.
Ah, those halcyon days of natural thinness...
