I could only find $3000 that I could afford to part with, so that's all I sent. I think my parents kicked in a few grand and so did his parents. It's all a waste of money, especially since she has quite a bit of debt stacked up already.
My idea of a perfect wedding is a gathering of friends and family, a nice ceremony in a suitable location, some cheap food and a bunch of booze. You can have a decent wedding for a few thousand dollars if you cut out all the expensive extras.
I'll find the boots and cowboy hat.....
