A power cut left everyone at Chessington World of Adventures stuck on the rides for two hours yesterday.

In the opening paragraph it says "20ft monorail". Go down to the fourth picture and suddenly it has grown 10ft. Why can't these newpapers get things right?

I worked on the copy desk at a newspaper for years and have plenty of experience in such matters. Photographers write captions for the photos they take, but they aren't always the best journalists. It's up to the editors to ensure that the captions match the actual facts as reported by the author of the article. Sometimes things slip by - especially when a deadline is approaching.
