Can't think of any others meself so I know I'm in danger of bumping this thread but my mate in tut Manchester uses the phrase 'I'm just going to drop the kids off' when he goes for a dump. I'd never heard that before. Is that peculiar to the north? We have some northern types on here I believe.

I lived just outisde York for over two years. I heard the phrase "drop the kids off" many times, but thought that was just what it meant. Crumbs...

"Dropping the kids off at the pool" is the complete phrase and makes a little more sense.

I've never heard that.
