All I remembered was that he had one of those tiny man-ponytails and the occasion was the Clinton-Gore rally on campus 4 weeks before the election in 1992. A few seconds of Googling and I found a video from that day on YouTube. You can see what he wore and hear what he had to say here:

I was right - man-ponytail!

I also met Gore and Clinton and their wives and chatted with them for a few moments the night before. Didn't vote for them, however.

I stood behind the stage for most of the band's performance, so I might even be on the video for a second or two. Not sure I'd even recognize myself.
