Yeah, I also got the email saying we are through to the next stage. It says top 10 per cent and there were just over 1800 entries, so it sounds like they're reading those 180 they've picked out and whittling to "up to" 25.

Just to let you folks know, have just received an email saying our entry is through to 'the next round' of Laughing Stock. Still a ways to go, they're down to 10% of the entries so about 180 left, but fingers crossed for everybody and keep an eye on your inbox!

Come on, guys, I already told you I was going to win this thing pages ago! Why did you even bother wasting your money on postage?
Somehow I don't think they'll be emailing individually so I guess I can count myself out

Not even top ten per cent then. I am going to cover my disappointment by eating cookies until I feel sick. At least this feeling of futility will only last until the Newjack writers' list is posted. Then, at least, I can justify opening more cookies.

Was just about to throw myself off a high building on having checked the inbox and finding no email when I realised I was on the wrong thread and had not in fact entered for Laughing Stock.

Perhaps those who have already recieved emails could end/prolong the agony by telling us what time they recieved the email or if it was personalized so we can work out if it was batch sent or not
The conformation emails didn't all go out at once. So I'm still crossing my fingers and toes and I'll wait till tomorrow before rushing out for a bottle of vodka and some Kleenex.
