I have 4 PCs and two laptops (old laptops) but only really use this one, about 6 months back spent a large amount upgrading one PC and have only switch it on about twice since.
As for TV’s my late dad and me ran a TV repair business so had about 200 piled up in the front room. (Got it down to about a dozen now).

In which case, unless you're looking for specialised software like Final Cut Pro, Windows all the way. 
So Mac then, I'll be using it as a tool. With a number a specialist programs.

How many remotes do you all have?
1 for Sky and controls TV
1 for DVD
1 for VCR
1 for CD Player
1 for PS2
Only use the first 2 though.
One for t.v (don't know what any of the friggin' buttons do though, one for c.d player (only has six buttons, don't know what two of them do) one for the d.v.d player (same story, thousands of buttons) and i have one random one that has a big red button on it, wonder what happens when i press it,,,,,,ow i see on the news a nuclear missile has been fired, i blame the Russians.
In here, there's 6; TV, DVD player, VCR, DVD recorder, Freeview box, media player.
In the sitting room at least 7 I guess. Don't know about other rooms. Maybe a couple each.
So I'm going to guess at 20 odd throughout the house.
So now you know.
