It's either a trick question (Connery once played Bond in the unofficial Clement/Le Frenais movie, maybe there lies the answer but I don't think so) or a mistake.

Ok, maybe you're right, I've never seen the (first) Casino Royale movie...I didn't know there was a character named James Bond.

He played the brought out of retirement Sir James Bond, but:-

Then you would maybe need to include the other 4 or 5 who also "played" him in the original spoof of Casino Royale.

THEN there was the American actor Barry Nelson who played him on TV in the mid 50s.
