Eminently Repeatable Repeats

TV viewers have always complained about the number of repeats on TV.

Which programmes or series would you be PLEASED to see repeated in 2011?

For me, it'd be:

Nighty Night.
Green Wing
The Young Ones
Phoenix Nights
Early Doors

And others, of course.

...

Nothing springs to mind.

Maybe Life on Mars, Black Books?

When the boat comes in.

Softly softly

Early Doors was great!

Seems to have passed me by, thatterone.

I didn't know what the last one was.

Early Doors was a truly wonderful sitcom based in a Manchester pub and starring Craig (Dave from The Royle Family) Cash.

The series was commissioned on the understanding that Caroline Aherne and Craig Cash would co-write it. When she backed out, the BBC were a bit wobbly about letting CC write it without her.

They needn't have worried: it's one of the best sitcoms ever written imho.

Ooooh I know the one. I think I flicked past it for five minutes when it originally aired and decided I didn't like it. I shall revisit.

Underworld. Or at least someone release it on DVD.

Nighty Night - Still haven't seen it
Phoenix Nights " "
The League Of Gentlemen " "
Bless This House " "
Budgie
WHT The Likely Lads
Ever Decreasing Circles
Some Mothers Do Ave Em
The Organisation
Randall & Hopkirk Deceased
The Persuaders
Lovejoy
OTT
The Word
All above are classic series not shown anywhere near enough, some never repeated once!

Nighty Night is a strange sitcom in that Series 1 was utterly brilliant and Series 2 was utterly crap.

I've never in my life known another sitcom to plummet in quality like that from one series to another.

Our Friends In The North. Haven't seen it since it was first on and too mean to buy DVD.

BBC Weatherview

I've got good news, Tim.

Almost every forecast from 2010 will be shown again in 2011, although not necessarily in the same order.

They should also repeat Curb Your Enthusiasm from Season 1 right though to the end.

I'm sure it was never seen by as many people as would have loved it.
