I agree. All their albums, later ones too, have good tunes and interesting song structures, but I was disappointed with Gaz' first solo album. Makes me think that Danny and Mick had a crucial input over quality control.

I'm looking forward to it. This post brings to a close my contribution to a journey with Chappers that started with Sally Carr. The one that could be entitled "Where Is She Now?" if certainly not "Who Is That Girl?"

First, Francoise Hardy with the Wolverhampton wonder Ben Christophers and a great song from the 1990s. Then the return after nearly 40 years of Mary Hopkin with son Morgan Visconti. Who'd have thought it?

I take it Mary Hopkin married Tony Visconti? Learn something new every day. Her voice has matured beautifully. Shame she hasn't done more stuff.

Yes. There are a few issues - stage fright I think and regret about the songs she was originally given. Tbh, the new selections are very mixed and not always on the button but I have always had a soft spot there!

Speaking of Wales, kind of, it could never be criticised for a lack of diversity -
