I prefer The Nice to ELP.

Virginia Moon - Foo Fighters featuring Norah Jones

Carole King and James Taylor DVD. I -literally - picked it up in a charity shop. It had no cover and the shop manager said I could have it. Lovely songs - really well played too.

You've got a friend.

Whoa, this is getting a bit weird. I swear you're some kind of music doppelganger. I bought this a couple of months ago.

That Santana "Welcome" album you posted about - I'd bought that a couple of months previously, but hadn't got around to playing it. I saw New Order live around 1983-4. Then there was your post about the Stax Revue etc etc.

Mind you, I listen to and pick up a helluva lot of stuff, including of lot of newer bands, but even so...

Are you stalking me?

Are you stalking me?

I bought them first, and I have the receipts to prove it. Laughing out loud

Though you did watch the Stax thing before me.

I also have a couple of John Otway albums and a first edition of his book (1990).

Ah but are you a producer of his film (now showing at Cannes)?

Sadly, no.

But I did used to own a copy of this album (on vinyl) until I stupidly sold it:

Along with a compilation one called "Can Opener".

Oh, the albums I've sold over the years that I wish I'd kept. And the hundred or more, punk/new wave picture sleeve singles I gave away to charity shops at the time, including rare valuable ones like the Ramones first single. :(

nothing right now, but the last song I listened to this morning was "Lonesome Tears" by Beck, from his album "Sea Change".
Fantastic album, IMHO, and nothing like his previous work. It was written in the wake of the end of a 9 year relationship, and a subsequent doomed rebound relationship with Winona Ryder.

If you've ever been heartbroken, and like to occasionally relive some of those fleeting feelings through the medium of melancholic melody, I'd heartily recommend this album.
