I'd been aware of Eels for a few years, but this year I've really got into them/E big time. Brilliant stuff!

Jools Holland on BBC2. No idea who this bloke is though. Just had OMD on.

Liam was playing the real twat.

So basically, I'd recommend the first 6 albums* without hesitation. The rest of his catalogue is more than forgettable (a case in which a hits compilation makes sense).

Gasoline Alley
Every Picture
Never A Dull
Atlantic Crossing

I'd put this in the top 3 Rod albums along with E.P.T.A.S. and N.A.D.M.

Yes, that's a pretty great album. And don't forget the two Rod Stewart fronted Jeff Beck Group records.

That's the Faces though. A different kettle of worms. 3 great studio albums plus a live'un.

Listening to/watching (sort of) New Order Finsbury Park 9th June 02.
