I have just realised where John Thaw got the inspiration for his performance in Goodnight Mister Tom...

Listening to Bellowhead's most recent album, Broadside. Wonderfully inventive with their trademark darkness. Their version of The Wife of Usher's Well is almost frightening!

Mr. Mister, a great track from their first album:

Yes, enjoyed that.

I've been humming this a bit today:

Siouxsie and the Banshees - Helter Skelter

Lennon and mcartney eat your cocks off

Finally got round to giving OK Computer by Radiohead a chance. I always found it rather depressing back in the 90s, but I've come round to it now. The fact that I can't decipher any more than a few words in each song is irritating though. I prefer The Bends.

My favourite housemartins song; "Think For A Minute": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnLFCY2vWoI

And my favourite Dexys Midnight Runners Song; "Geno": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnoUlZnwYy4

The first album ever financed by a band's fans in advance of it being made...Marillion - Anoraknophobia. :)

The new Muse album...

Been on the Muse wagon since 1999, but fell off on the first hearing of this. It's a grower though.

A couple songs that sound very un-Musey (Liquid State and Save Me). One is great, and one is shit.

A lot of the rest seem like Muse-twists on other bands (Millionaire, U2, Prince, Queen etc.).
