Timebox - Beggin'

Brilliant.

.

An advert for the Roxy Music story on Radio 2. Must hear that.

Gerry Rafferty - Baker Street.

Rest in peace, sir. Some of your songs define my childhood in the 1970s.

Lines from my grandfather's forehead on Radio 7. A Ronnie Barker sketch show from the 1970s.

Just listened to Hancock's Half Hour.

Finally listening to The Kinks are The Village Green Preservation Society.

I'm listening to Bon Jovi's "Slippery when wet" (by force)...I just told you in the "What are you watching on TV?" thread.

Why don't people listen? ;)

Is it good? I'm forever meaning to buy that thing.

Have VM DVD on, live at Montreaux 1980, phenominal.

Is Lola on that? L. O. L. A. ?

No. There's not many HITS on it.

Agreed, but I'm more of an Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire) kind of guy.

I'll have to check that out. For years, I'd only ever heard the various Kinks compilations, but I've listened to a few of the studio albums in the last couple of years and enjoyed them.

Oh good I'll get it then, one day. Love the title track.

I say it's phenominal, well it is, he's on great form but doing a bit too much from his dire 1980 album Common One for my taste, the rest is just perfect. :)

The Kinks were never a great album band. They always excelled at singles.
