I was chatting with a colleague about this few weeks ago how out of all the media music seems the less able/ willing to move forward, and now have a serious uphill battle since so many people are now used to getting their stuff almost instantly and for free. Good luck!

Yep, definitely. They've really, really f**ked themselves over on it. Totally out of touch with consumers. Reminds me of when home video recorders were first developed and Hollywood said that no one would pay to see films anymore, they'd just wait and record from TV for free. Did it happen? No. Did the music industry learn? No. The kind of stuff they're attempting now, if they'd done it 7 or 8 years ago, they might have still been in with a chance of changing it and exerting some amount of control. But they missed their chance, and will be paying for it for years to come.

Got the new Green Day, but can't hear it till after work. Poo.
