What are you listening to now? Page 453

Duffy, Adele, Keane, the Feeling and someone I missed live on Radio 2 NOW. Looks like a 2 hour prgogramme about best current live acts.

It can't be about the best with that line up...

I was going to say something similar...

The other one is James Morrison. I think I'll turn off for 20 minutes.

Don't forget this is Radio 2. So it's about comparatives. No bloody Take That at least!

Yes, I do.

Thanks Aaron! I didn't know you cared but I suppose it does make sense the way you tease me all the time!

Oh David, you're so predictable.

I'm listening to Bob's Theme Time Hour.

Is that what you love about me?

Recently discovered a great band called Guided By Voices. And it's all thanks to Graham Linehan! They play one of their songs (Game of Pricks) at the end of an episode of the IT Crowd, the one with the dinner party. When I listened to the commentary Graham says that they are his second favourite band after the Pixies. It would probably take me a life time to listen to all their albums but luckily Graham gives a few recommendations.

If anyone is interested you can listen to 'Game of Pricks' here: http://www.imeem.com/matt009/music/maJ4EjTQ/guided_by_voices_game_of_pricks_7_version/

I was really sad to see GBV split, but Bob Pollard's solo stuff is a good substitute. What's not to like about a band that wheels an ice chest full of beer onto the stage and then proceeds to drink the lot of it? I hope none of the band members have any contagious diseases because we all shared a bottle of brandy during a show in L.A. a few years ago.
