Quote: Spagett @ September 9 2008, 7:47 PM BSTNew Bloc Party album is very good.
As is the Santogold Album.
Both *so* good live, and I really need to buy the former.

The City Is At Standstill
by Liam Frost and the Slowdown Family
I know this world is vicious darling, let's make tracks! Wooo!
Everybody's Talkin' - Harry Nilsson
Great song. Conor Oberst & The Mystic Valley Band did a great cover of it when I saw them a fortnight ago.
So did The Beautiful South. Nilssons version is the best though.
Quote: Griff @ September 6 2008, 9:56 PM BSTHaven't listened to this band since 1989. God they were good. Obscure though. Amazed there's a greatest hits album out.
That's Brix Smith is't it?
Reminds me I must get some Fall on CD.
I'm listening to Carlos Santana & John McLaughlin - Love Devotion & Surrender.
Quote: Winterlight @ September 8 2008, 9:09 PM BSTYou're older than me! How can you like them?! You know that they're nothing but an inferior combination of The Streets, The Coral and The Libertines!
I;m older too & like the Arctic Monkeys, White Stripes & Libertines. Yes - really!
Quote: Aaron @ September 9 2008, 12:42 PM BST28? Blimey. I had you down as maybe 22 at most.
And me?
A bajillion.
I'm listening to a Shakatak compilation. I just took a completely random CD.
Invitations.
Feeder- Tracing Lines
Crystal Days - Echo & the Bunnymen. Pissed all over U2.
Who doesn't?
The Croatia - England game.
We've stuffed 'em 4-1!

The Wild Swans - new demos! Woo.
Griff, I remember we discussed on here Julian Cope and Ian McNabb. Are you familiar will Paul Simpson - another Scouse 80s New Wave alumni - from The Wild Swans?

He's formerly Teardrop Explodes actually.
They're another great jangle pop band.
Strangeboy - From the new Brazilian girls album.
C&C Music Factory - Things That Make You Go Hmmm
