What are you listening to now? Page 277

The Beatles are a bit overrated. But they do actually have the music to back it up. Whereas Oasis don't. At all.

Both have about half a dozen good songs, at most. Both are boring. Both are overrated.

Aw. I think this goes with Spaced in that special Aaron's Wrong room.

Don't feel bad about it. ;)

Aaron's entirely correct.

You're as wrong as Paul McCartney with a beard.

But at least you're right about Oasis. So that's something.

Paul McCartney is wrong in any situation.

But not as wrong as that Lennon gimp.

Ha!

What about Ringo? Do Ringo!

If his appearance on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross a few months ago is anything to go by, self-obsessed smarmy c**t.

Oh yeah, I forgot that.

Am listening to Happiness Is A Warm Gun, inspired by this thread.

Where can you find a good song in Oasis catalog, let alone half a dozen?

They have two songs. Whatever and all the others. Whatever sounds like a total Beatles ripoff - while in fact, as Wiki says, "The song lifts part of its melody from Neil Innes' song "How Sweet to Be an Idiot", to the extent that Innes successfully sued Oasis for plagiarism and was awarded a co-writer's credit and subsequent royalties."

The other song is much less good.

Beats International - Dub Be Good To Me

Going through that link I went from one to another to find "Put it where you want it" by Jules Fothergill - a brilliant guitartist who was in a gigging band called Roadhouse bit now has his own called Funkydory.

What a way to end it all by Deafschool - a band tipped to be the future of rock back in 1976 - and we all know what happened to them!

Currently its Play Rock UK for me on iTunes.
