What are you listening to now? Page 1,476
Edgar Winter's White Trash - Recycled.
Such a great sound mash of Rock, Disco, Blues and other genres.
Beatles - glass onion
I first heard the White Album when I was 14 and it blew my mind. In a bad way. I wasn't ready for it and I was expecting Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!!!!!!!! Took me a while but now it's one of my favourite LPs, up there with Spice. (I'm joking. Spiceworld.)
For me it's a mixture of gems and turds
Bit like Sandinista!
Sandanista has a far higher turd count.
I love all the White Album. Even the less '''successful''' tracks become part of the fabric.
The clash - something about England
This is England is the only Cut the Crap track they acknowledge, even including it in The Essential.
I don't give a f**k about The Clash.
Taylor Swift, We Are Never Ever Ever Ever Getting Back Together, hailed as a feminist anthem... Shame cos that line was written by her legs.
When I'm working I love to listen to classical music. Right now I'm listening to Liszt: Dreams of love
Watching a New Order gig from 2018. I can't believe how bad Bernard's singing is, way down in the mix, and how much old age has changed him. The music's good though.
The Bootleg Series Vol. 16 - Bob Dylan
John Shuttleworth with Mari Wilson. Two of my faves. I saw her do a gig before lockdown. Also Tony Burrows (Flowerpot Men, White Plains, Edison Lighthouse, Pipkins, Brotherhood of Man, First Class) talked on the phone too.
I saw John AKA Jilted John a few years ago too at a John Otway Convention.
