Yeah, I spotted his name in the line-up. With his producing partner, Alan Winstanley, he's worked with lots of my favourites, and crops up on quite a few of the albums in my collection - Teardrop Explodes, Elvis Costello, Dexys, Morrissey, Lloyd Cole and the aforementioned Madness. He (& Winstanley) did a great job on The Liberty of Norton Folgate (2009) which deserves far more acclaim.

Just received my copy of the latest Joe Bonamassa British Blues Explosion Live album. He really is a fantastic guitarist. Brilliant album featuring Faces, Mayall, Zeppelin tracks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlY8tlRAxFs

Bark Psychosis - Absent Friend

Vintage Spice Girls footage when they were 'still up and coming'. So am I.

Before I realised the football was on I just listened to a classic album. As you know I get vinyl from Charity shops and yesterday I went to one which had a great lot of records. One album I bought was J Geils Band live from 1975. I always knew they had a great live reputation but I'd never got around to buying anything of theirs until Centrefold.

Anyway a bargain at £6 and I loved every minute. I'd recommend that to anyone who likes good rock although I'm sure DaButt needs no introduction.

Peter Wolf - probably one of the first rappers.

Yeah, they were a great live band, and very popular here in the 70s and 80s.

I've been on a Replacements (one of the best American bands of all time) kick after reading the excellent "Trouble Boys" biography of the band, and a few days ago I watched this video of Peter Wolf interviewing Paul Westerberg:

Cheers, Bill.

They popped up on a Goth themed playlist/prog on Vintage TV the other day. Didn't know them before, and I thought they were fun, and fresh sounding.

You seem to be quite up on your post-punk? I don't remember calling it that at the time, though. Did you go to many gigs then? I saw quite a few of those bands at the Music Machine in Camden, the Lyceum, and my uni.

Been listening to this album tonight -

Steve Earle- Taneytown

Not that many gigs but I studied at the University of John Peel.:)
