What are you listening to now? Page 1,258

The title track of Butch Walkers forth coming album Stay Gold.
The last album was a somewhat dour affair as he'd lost his father and is hard to listen to but from the ones I've heard off this new one he's back on fine form with some anthemic little ditties that make me think he's been listening to Bruce Springsteen a lot recently. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I can't read the label here and my record is not to hand but I think it was a hit about 1969.

Thanks. After posting my question, I saw in the YouTube description that it got to No. 4 in 1968.

Because I mainly came in on these things in the 1970s, I know them as Johnny Johnson and the Bandwagon.

That is what they became.

GR's "Soldiers of Love" was totally new to me. I took a lengthy break from ESC during the mid/late 1980s. :D

Johnny only became credited later. Blame it on the Pony Express maybe.

George Roper's "Soldiers of Love" by Liliane Saint-Pierre (posted above).

Apparently it was a Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) song in 1987 - Belgium!
